Guardian no-go lighting datasheet
Guardian is a no-go lighting system for rope shovels and draglines. It projects a distinct red line on the ground around the swing radius, so dozers, trucks and other auxiliary machines can see exactly where not to go.
Each light is 185 W and 9,000 lumens, runs on a constant 24 V DC supply and draws 8 A. At a mounting height of 3 to 4 m, each light throws a ground line about 3.5 to 4 m long and 400 mm wide. The lights are stainless steel, polycarbonate and aluminium, sealed to IP67, measure 400 x 250 x 140 mm and are made in Australia.
The lights mount on a weld-on section, either around the full perimeter or at the rear only, with several adjustment points. Each light needs its own power feed from the 24 V supply, and a metal extrusion runs between lights to protect the cable from debris. Guardian comes with a 12 month warranty. It's a different product to our Safe Zone lighting.
Hazardous areas
This light isn't explosion-proof. If it's going into a hazardous area, tell us the zone and the gas or dust group and we'll recommend a certified option. Our hazardous-area lighting page has more on that range.
