New plates are a cheap way to freshen up a room. We stock 1 to 6 gang cover plates from Clipsal (Slimline, Standard Series and Prestige) and Hager (Finesse and Allure) in white, black, brushed aluminium, brushed brass, chrome, gold and more.
Match the series first, because plates only fit their own range of grids and mechanisms: a Slimline plate goes on Slimline gear. Then match the gang count, which is the number of switches behind the plate. The brand and series are usually printed on the back of the old plate or the grid.

Are light switch covers universal?
No. Plates are made for a specific brand and series, so a Clipsal Slimline plate suits Slimline gear and a Hager Finesse plate suits Finesse gear. Check the series on your existing switch before you order.
What size switch cover plate do I need?
Count the switches (gangs) behind the plate: one switch is 1 gang, two side by side is 2 gang, and so on. We stock 1 to 6 gang plates.
Do you have black light switch covers?
Yes. We've got black Clipsal Slimline plates in several gang sizes and a matt black Hager Finesse 1 gang cover and grid plate. Use the colour filter or search the collection for black.
Can I buy just the switch cover plate without the switch?
Yes, most listings are the cover plate only. A few, like the Hager Finesse 1 gang cover and grid plate, include the grid, so check the title.
