Halogen to LED conversion for mine sites
ALL LED Direct helps convert mine-site halogen work lights and floods to LED. Fewer lamp changes, less heat, and usually lower draw on the same circuit. Send wattage, voltage and mounting to info@alledirect.com and we'll map options from the mining range.

This page sits under the mining lighting hub. Work lights and ROM floods have their own pages if you already know which side you're converting.
Why sites convert
Halogen runs hot and lamps fail often on plant that vibrates. LED cuts those changeouts and drops heat at the fitting. Power draw on the same circuit usually falls too. We're not printing invented savings percentages. Real numbers come from your wattage, hours and how many fittings you swap.
What to send
- Halogen wattage you're replacing
- Voltage (12 V / 24 V / mains / other)
- Mounting (bracket style, magnetic, pole, existing holes)
- Work light or flood (or both)
- Quantity
- Photos of the current fitting or mount if they're easy to take
We'll map to LED options in the mining products collection from that brief.
How we map options
You don't need a part number to start. Wattage, voltage and mount are enough. If you've already browsed the mining collection and have candidates, include those datasheet or product links. For vehicle and plant work lights, see the mining work lights page. For ROM and stockpile floods, see the ROM flood lights page.
Ex reminder
Classified areas still need a separate path. Standard conversion options in the mining range aren't explosion-proof. If the area is classified, send the zone and the gas or dust group with the rest of the brief. Don't assume a halogen-to-LED swap stays valid in a hazardous zone without that check.

FAQs
Can we mix halogen and LED on one vehicle?
Often yes while you change over in stages. Tell us which positions stay halogen for now and which you're swapping, plus voltage per circuit.
Do we keep the old brackets?
Sometimes. Send a photo of the mount. If the LED fits the existing holes, we say so. If it needs a new bracket, we say that too.
Will you quote a savings percentage up front?
No invented percentages on this page. Once we've got your wattage, hours and quantity, we can talk real draw numbers against that brief.
Is the LED drop-in always the same beam?
Not always. Say if you need to match the current spot or flood pattern. We'll aim for a practical match rather than a different beam that surprises the operators.
Are converted fittings explosion-proof?
Standard range isn't. Classified areas need zone + gas or dust group in the email.
